Commissioning Team Leader (Hospital Commissioning / Healthcare for Jeddah, KSA)

AMI Healthcare, an international healthcare services provider of hospital operations and management, is engaged in the development and commissioning of a new 200 bed tertiary care hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The commissioning will commence alongside construction and ensure that there is a timely activation of the hospital, and that all facilities and systems are in compliance and ready for Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation. The expected to last forty-four (44) months. 

SUMMARY
Seeking a Commissioning Team Leader (CTL) who will oversee the build-out of the medical center, the timely and efficient implementation of all project activities including the planning, procurement, installation and testing of all equipment and the hiring of staff beyond the commissioning phase. This position will transition to Chief Operating Officer (COO) upon activation and then be responsible for the operational management of the medical center. He/she will report to AMI’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This position requires relocation.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To work with the commissioning team and be responsible for all pre-operating and commissioning tasks as well as day-to-day operational management of the facility. This includes but is not limited to:
  • To review the building
  • To plan workflows, quality implementation, budgeting & revenue, manpower, equipment, supply chain, equipment & procurement, installation and testing of equipment
  • To select, interview and recruit staff
  • To develop policies and procedures
  • To acquire and install management and health information systems
  • To oversee physician and clinical services implementation
  • To achieve outcome performance targets in the organization’s operations
  • To be responsive to and meet community and clients’ needs
  • To collaborate and work with senior leadership team members to establish annual operating goals, priorities and measures, developing organizational and financial plans, annual operating and capital budgets
  • To assist with operational planning to achieve established goals and measures to include financial performance and organizational improvement
  • To develop and implement effective systems and processes to assure operational and financial stability
  • To ensure and validate compliance with laws and regulations, standards and guidelines
  • To develop an organizational culture that is value driven, promotes positivity and encourages collaborative relationships with leaders, vendors, providers, employees and others
  • To serve as a leadership role model and mentor by actively demonstrating the mission and values of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • Master’s degree in hospital management or related
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in hospital operations
  • Must have previous experience in the commissioning of hospital(s)
  • Must have demonstrated experience as a change leader in achieving top quality, safety and clinical excellence outcomes
  • Must have a leadership track record in developing positive organizational experience
  • Must have demonstrated success in managing financial operations in a large organization
  • Must have an understanding and commitment to process and continuous improvement methodologies and approaches
  • Must be able to adapt to different cultural habits and environments
  • Must be able to communicate at all levels with excellent writing, verbal and presentation skills in English
  • Preference may be given to candidates with previous experience working in the Middle East

COMPENSATION
  • The compensation and benefits package comprise of a salary (commensurable to the position, candidate's experience and qualifications) plus annual bonus, medical insurance, housing, airfare and other fringe benefits
